Dental Problems & Invisalign Solutions
Invisalign Corrects Various Dental Problems
Diastema-spacing between teeth
Spaces are corrected by sliding teeth towards each other. Sometimes, the space is moved to an area that is not visible when smiling. In this case, the space was left by the lateral teeth and bonding was done on the lateral teeth to make the lateral teeth larger.
Overbite is corrected by sliding teeth back and closing any spaces. Here the overbite was improved and spaces closed.
Overlap of teeth
With Invisalign, overlapped teeth are moved into an ideal arc.
Narrow arch and jaws
Invisalign can expand the jaws transversely and align teeth into a wider arc.
Cross-Bite and Underbite
In an underbite, teeth are moved forward into the arch.
Uneven, chipped edges
Invisalign will not correct the actual contour of the teeth. After Invisalign treatment, front teeth which were chipped, worn, or had uneven edges will be recontoured to an ideal shape.

When the top teeth are in reversed bite with the bottom teeth, the top teeth are susceptible to severe wear on the front surface of the tooth. Invisalign corrects the position of the anterior cross-bite by moving the top front edge of the tooth forward.
In a deep bite, the bottom teeth are touching the underside of the top teeth, and often even the gums, or the palate. Invisalign will improve a deep bite by moving the front bottom teeth down (intrusion) or move the bottom back teeth upwards.
Invisalign Attachments during Treatment
Tooth colored attachments are bonded to the teeth during Invisalign treatment. The purpose of the attachments in to engage the clear aligners and place force of teeth to aid movement. These attachments are every discrete and we try to match them to the existing tooth color. We remove the attachments before the retainers are made. Attachments do not have adverse effects on the teeth.
